So, we rented a beach house with family again this year.

I didn't blog about our trip last year, but decided to this year. There were 11 adults (1 great grandmother, 2 grandmothers (me included), 2 grandfathers, 2 brothers with their wives and kids in tow, and an additional brother and sister); and there were 3 grandkids - who were spoiled beyond measure <3. We drove down in several cars, so some of us arrived earlier than others. Our crew stopped along the way to grab some lunch at Cracker barrel and stretch our legs a bit. It was a long wait but good food.

We even had a couple of motorcycle riders, they were the last to arrive.
The first day there, we realized there was something amiss with the refrigerator. It was not keeping things cool. After a few calls to the rental company, a few bags of ice and multiple trips to the grocery store the refrigerator was fixed and all was well again. Even with these challenges, this crew refused to let it dampen our fun and spirit for the beach.
The beach was amazing, we had more shots that I could possibly share, of the sunrise, sunset and waves. Here are a few of the favorites.

We also enjoyed some time in the pool at the house,
and we even had time for some site seeing and shopping sprees.

The kids took the grandkids to a park in town one day that it was just to chilly to hit the water.

We went for many walks, on the beach and in the neighborhood where we were staying. Our walk on the last day we found a playground in the neighborhood just a road over from the house for the kids to play on, so we promptly took them to it.
Our time at the beach was spent in food, fellowship and fun.

The week was blessed, and came to an end entirely too soon. Looking forward to our next adventure!!
